This years Vacuum Deposited Perovskite Conference will be held in Freiburg (Breisgau) in Germany.

Freiburg (Breisgau) has been said to be the sunniest City of Germany and is home to both the University of Freiburg and the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (ISE). Both have contributed to make Freiburg a pioneer in renewable energy research and deployment as well as active travel.

Please be careful when planning your travel there are several places in Germany and Switzerland with very similar names. This conference is held in Freiburg (Breisgau). Freiburg (Breisgau) has several highspead train connections to Switzerland, France and the North of Germany. Paris can for example be reached in three to four hours by train. EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg can be reached by public transport in about an hour and Frankfurt Airport is just over two hours away on the highspeed ICE train.

Getting Around in Freiburg (Breisgau)

Freiburg is a very walkable and cyclable City with an excellent public transport system. The conference venue can be reached from the main train station in 15min on the tram. Rental bikes are available through the Frelo (Nextbike) App.
